WATERLOO: THE COMIC STRIP
This rigorously-researched comic strip, entitled simply "Waterloo", retraces the Battle in minute blow-by-blow detail. Thierry Bonneyrat (script) and Mor (illustration), under the expert supervision of world-renowned Napoleonic historian Patrice Courcelle, lead us right to the heart of the action through the eyes and fate of various protagonists, both noble and humble, famous and unknown. The work is accompanied by a 16-page history book that teaches you everything you need to know about the Hundred Days and the lives of the Grognards under Napoleon.
WINES AND SPIRITS
Wine-lovers from both camps will be delighted to hear that Cinoco (est. 1691) has selected a fine port and fine Burgundy wine just for us.
* For French palates, we have a Gevrey-Chambertin 2012 from Bouchard Père & Fils, available as a Waterloo 1815-2015 special edition. This famous wine was a favourite with Napoleon himself, who would only forego it for a glass of Champagne. Presented in a "Waterloo Edition" special collectors' case, this Gevrey-Chambertin will prove just as popular with modern connoisseurs as it was with the Emperor himself.
* To tickle British taste buds, try our FONSECA "Waterloo Edition" Finest Reserve Port. The famous Fonseca house has produced a limited edition port in honour of Wellington. The "Iron Duke" in fact spent a large part of his career in the Iberian Peninsula fighting alongside Portuguese and Spanish partisans against the French armed forces.
